Standard Portable Toilet Rental
A single standard portable toilet placed on a level pad for job sites, remodels and yard events across El Paso and El Paso County.
A road crew on I-10, a parade cluster on Montana Avenue, a rodeo weekend at the County Coliseum, a subdivision going in on the far northeast edge. Call (888) 351-0294 with the address, the dates and how many people, and a local portable-sanitation provider confirms what will fit the site and what it costs before anything is dropped off.

Portable restroom placement in El Paso works around desert heat, with the first triple-digit days usually arriving around late May or June, and the monsoon from 15 June to 30 September, when upstream rain can send flash floods through arroyos under clear local skies.
El Paso Porta Potty Rental connects callers in El Paso and across El Paso County with a local portable-sanitation provider for standard, ADA, flushable and trailer units. The provider delivers, services and removes them, and sets and confirms the price for your site before delivery. The reach runs from downtown out to the Mission Valley and the New Mexico line.
Three things decide a portable restroom order here, and none of them is the unit itself: where a service truck can get to it, how long it stands in the heat, and which state it stands in. El Paso sits at the far western tip of Texas on the Rio Grande, in the Mountain time zone, and the metro runs out along I-10 and the Mission Valley, so a cluster downtown and a cluster in Socorro are two different drives for the same truck.
The work splits into construction and events. Road and subdivision work carries the quiet months, and federal rules set the minimum count on a job site — the figures are laid out in the OSHA toilet rules guide. The event calendar runs from the late-February marathon through the Chihuahuas season, the June rodeo and UTEP football to the Sun Bowl Parade on Thanksgiving and the game on 31 December. Start with construction site units or ADA accessible restrooms, and see what moves a quote on the pricing page.

First triple-digit heat usually arrives around late May or June, and the hottest day on record here is 114 °F in 1994. Providers commonly service units more often through the summer, so say up front how long the unit will stand and how heavy the use will be.
The National Weather Service runs the monsoon from 15 June to 30 September. El Paso Water warns that rain upstream can send water down an arroyo under clear local skies, so placement avoids a wash and a low crossing a truck has to return through.
Rules follow the state where the unit stands. On the Texas side waste transport is registered with TCEQ; on the New Mexico side the New Mexico Environment Department regulates septage pumping. Say which side of the line your site is on and the provider confirms which registration covers the work.
A truck needs a firm level surface, room to pull alongside and a route it can repeat on every service visit. Gravel pads, sand, curb cuts, gated yards and festival barricades all change what can be placed and where, which is why the address matters as much as the headcount.
The 2010 ADA Standards set a cluster rule for single-user portable units: about 5 percent of units at each cluster, with a minimum of one often cited, and construction-site units used only by construction personnel exempt. Published copies word it differently, so the provider confirms the count for your layout.
Nothing on this site carries a price, because a number given before the address, the dates and the servicing frequency are known would be invented. The provider that takes the job sets the price and confirms it with you before delivery.
Street or cross streets, the city or district, the start and end dates, and roughly how many people will use the units. Mention if the site is in New Mexico, because that changes which state's rules apply.
Job sites start from the federal table for the number of workers. Events are worked back from expected attendance and how long the gates are open, plus accessible units and handwashing.
A firm level spot, an accessible route for users, and a path a service truck can take on every visit. Away from an arroyo or a low crossing, and clear of the barricade line at a street event.
A local provider sets the units, services them on an agreed frequency for the length of the rental, and removes them at the end. Waste goes to an authorised disposal facility and the paperwork follows the hauler's rules.
It depends on where the event is. Inside El Paso city limits the city reviews restroom facilities against expected attendance as part of its permit; outside a municipality, the state's mass-gathering sanitation standard works to about one toilet seat per 50 people. No El Paso ratio of its own was found.
The City of El Paso's temporary-use application asks for a layout showing where tents, canopies, portable restrooms and stages will go, and an older special-event permit document says the permit official weighs parking, restroom facilities and trash receptacles near the site against expected attendance. That is a review, not a published ratio, so the number to plan around comes from the permit office rather than from a page like this one.
Outside a municipality the picture is firmer. Texas Health and Safety Code chapter 751 defines a mass gathering as an event held outside a municipality expecting more than 2,500 people — or more than 500 where at least 51 percent are under 21 and alcohol is served — lasting more than five continuous hours or running between 10 pm and 4 am, and the county issues that permit. The sanitation standard cited in county mass-gathering packets, 25 TAC §265.3(b), sets toilets separate for each sex at no more than 50 persons per toilet seat, screened from view, with handwashing near each toilet and drinking water. Because chapter 751 applies outside city limits, it does not govern an event downtown. The whole comparison is set out in the event count guide.
Heat is the defining condition of this trade in El Paso. It drives odour and raises how often a unit needs pumping and cleaning, so providers commonly service more often through the summer. There is no single correct interval: it is set from the unit type, the traffic and the length of the rental.
Sources on when the heat arrives disagree, and they should not be mixed: reports put the average start of 100 °F weather in mid-June, while another puts it closer to late May. The earliest triple-digit day on record is 7 May 2020. What matters for a rental is simply that a unit standing on an open site in June through August is working harder than the same unit in February, and the servicing plan has to say so before the first delivery rather than after the first complaint.
Placement does part of the job. Shade, the prevailing side of a building, and a short walk from where people actually are all reduce how unpleasant a unit gets by mid-afternoon. Flushable units and trailers hold more water and read differently in heat than a standard unit does, which is one reason the question of unit type comes before the question of count. There is more in the summer servicing guide.
The reach crosses the state line into Doña Ana County, New Mexico at Sunland Park, Santa Teresa and Anthony, New Mexico. Rules follow the state where the unit stands, not where the call is answered, so a Texas rule is not carried across the line and a New Mexico rule is not carried back.
On the Texas side, portable-toilet waste is handled as chemical toilet waste in TCEQ's transporter guidance. Transport requires registration under 30 TAC §312.142(a), disposal is only at authorised facilities under §312.143, trip tickets are kept, and the customer is given a manifest. TCEQ's guide is RG-309, and a caller can check a hauler's standing with TCEQ.
On the New Mexico side the New Mexico Environment Department's Liquid Waste Program runs the state's liquid-waste rules, and its fee rules list a septage pump truck registration. Whether portable-toilet waste counts as septage under those rules was not something this research could confirm, so the honest line is the useful one: in New Mexico the state environment department regulates septage pumping, and you should ask the provider which registration covers the work. Anthony, Texas and Anthony, New Mexico are two separate towns on opposite sides of that line, under two different regulators. The two-state guide keeps them apart.
A federal table sets the floor. Under 29 CFR 1926.51(c)(1), a site with 20 or fewer workers needs one facility; above that, one toilet seat and one urinal per 40 workers; at 200 or more, one seat and one urinal per 50. Mobile crews with transport to nearby toilets are treated differently.
Road and subdivision work is steady here. TxDOT has run I-10 West widening between Mesa and Vinton, rehabilitation and widening on Loop 375 near the port of entry, and the I-10 Connect project where US 54 meets I-10 — work in recent years that gives a sense of the scale rather than a current schedule. Subdivision and remodel work on the east, northeast and hillside edges fills in around it.
Two OSHA interpretations are worth knowing. One, dated 17 May 2006, says a toilet that is not sanitary does not count toward the minimum, while also noting the standard does not require it to be immaculate; another treats being able to reach a toilet in under about ten minutes as the starting test. Both point the same way: the count is only half the question, and servicing and placement are the other half. Long jobs are usually set up as a long-term rental with a fixed service schedule.

The state's mass-gathering sanitation standard works to about one toilet seat per 50 people, but it applies to events outside a municipality.
The City of El Paso's temporary-use application asks for a layout that shows where tents, canopies, portable restrooms and stages will be.
The El Paso metro and El Paso County, out to Horizon City, the Mission Valley and Anthony, plus three places across the state line in Doña Ana County, New Mexico: Sunland Park, Santa Teresa and Anthony, New Mexico. Give the address on the call and the provider will say whether it is covered.
No. It is in another country with its own regulator and a port of entry in between, so it is outside the service area. El Paso sits on the border, but the units stay on the United States side of the river.
That is agreed before delivery and depends on the unit type, how many people use it and how long it stands. Summer is the part worth thinking about in advance: providers commonly service more often through the heat, so build that into the schedule rather than adding it later.
Usually, provided the surface is firm and level and a service truck can pull alongside it on every visit. Soft sand, a slope, or a spot that can only be reached through a low arroyo crossing are the problems to flag on the call so the placement can be worked out first.
The 2010 ADA Standards set a cluster rule for single-user portable units of about 5 percent at each cluster, with a minimum of one often cited, and exempt construction-site units used only by construction personnel. Wording differs between published copies, so the provider confirms the count and checks the surface and the route to it.
A local portable-sanitation company. It brings the units, services them on the agreed schedule, removes them at the end and takes the waste to an authorised disposal facility. It also sets the price and confirms it with you before delivery.
The address or cross streets, the dates, roughly how many people, whether it is a job site or an event, and whether the site is in Texas or New Mexico. For an event, say whether it is inside El Paso city limits, because that decides which permit route applies.
